Concept

Starting from client idea, throughout competition analysis, identification of clients’ needs and mandatory elements, market benchmarking, cases history analysis, marketing and design mapping, an initial research is carried out on the reference market and on cross-cutting markets. Mood panels and/or design drivers are created through clusters of objects and consumer habits to get to ‘guiding models’ regarding styles, product languages and end users behaviors. With these tools, signs, languages and functions are extrapolated to add value to the solutions proposed.

Rapid prototyping turns design concepts into concrete models to allow client to feel the real container.

We also simulate the mechanical performances of the package by means a finite element analysis (FEA).

By doing so we reduce the number of physical iterations and the changes to the blow mold, going straight to the final product.

Fast prototyping

3D printing technology allows to turn a packaging solution into a new one very quickly.

By using this technology we can rapidly modify an existing mold and turn a new concept into an existing prototype, providing it to the client in just 24 hours.
On the side, an example of what we achieved by modeling a bottle with spout nesting.

Based on client’s chosen containers, we start to design the mold.

The design is carried out to manufacture segmented ‘unit-cavity’ mold taking to maximize the flexibility to ensure small changes in the shape of the containers that may arise during the prototyping phase. This to avoid a complete re-manufacture of the blow molds.

Bottle prototyping

With our single cavity machines, our engineers will initially test the blowing process to maximize the quality of the containers in terms of aesthetic and performance. Once set the process, the production of samples will begin.
